Hugo de Carvalho 
Grew up in Rio de Janeiro studying Classical Ballet at the Teatro Municipal and with Tatiana Leskowa . He was a dancer in the companies of the Deutsche Oper am Reihen, Carla Fracci Cia in Milan, Ballet da cidade de Sao Paulo, Ballet Contemporain Brussel, Chemintz Opera where his encounter with Carsten Nikolai began perhaps his inclination to the visual arts. In Berlin he studies choreography and theater direction at the Hochschule fur Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, which gave rise to collaborations with Thomas Ostermeier and later Benoit Maubrey.
